Dr. A. Paul Praveen obtained his 5 Years full time Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree in the School of Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) - Deemed to be University, Vellore in the area of Composites and Vibration Control. He obtained the Rank Holder Award in his M.Tech. degree with Distinction. He has 4 years of experience in both research and teaching. His area of research interest includes dynamics of hybrid sandwich composite structures, Material and Mechanical Characterization, smart materials, hybrid materials modelling and Nanotechnology. He has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed International journals with less than and equal to 5.015 impact factors. He has authored a monograph in his field which was published in the international Lambert’s Academic Publishing. He has completed several National and International Courses, Trainings, Workshops, Conferences and FDPS. His endless contribution in collaboration research works grabs the attention among the teachers, researchers, scientists and students. He is the technical Editor in 2 International Journals and Reviewer in 3 international journals. He has senior memberships in various professional bodies. He worked as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for 3 years in the government funded DST-SERB project worth of 21.4 Lakhs under Young Scientist Scheme (YSS). Later, He worked as Teaching Cum Research Assistant (TRA) and Research Associate (RA) at VIT Deemed University, Vellore. His dedication in academics and research, and dynamic performance in administration works moulded him as a supportive faculty member to the department and the institution, respectively.
