The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been established since the inception of the institution in the year 2002 with a sanctioned intake of 60. With the development of new facilities and infrastructure the intake was increased to 120 in the year 2009 and further increased to 180 and 240 in the year 2013 and 2014 respectively.
